The Power of Place – CRI’s Inspiring New Texas Headquarters
Drawing from our extensive experience in the relocation industry, we understand firsthand the transformative power of transitioning to new environments. Just as we've recently embarked on our own journey to a new office space in Flower Mound, Texas, we've witnessed how such a move can reignite collaboration among team members and fortify relationships with partners and clients, making it a winning decision all around.
This transition wasn't merely about gaining more space than our previous location; it symbolizes a significant milestone in our company's growth - our unwavering dedication to our valued employees and clients. In our quest to create a workspace that's both inspiring and welcoming, our team of visionaries, led by CFO Bryan O’Connell, collaborated with the talented design duo of Studio Five 02—Carmen Fraza and Katie Rodriguez—to transform our "what ifs" into a vibrant reality. The result of this creative partnership is a fusion of cutting-edge features and refreshing design that breathes new life into our workspace.
"The decision to move to a bigger, better office space is based on a vision of an environment where our team thrives, our partners flourish, and our clients experience exceptional service,” says O’Connell. “We wanted to create a space that not only encourages connection but also inspires everyone who walks through our doors. This move is much more than a relocation; it’s an investment in our future, our people, and our commitment to excellence."
The ideas behind the design
We were thrilled to partner with Studio Five 02, as they've played a crucial role in CRI’s marketing efforts for the past four years. Having Fraza and Rodriguez spearhead the design of our new headquarters as the "Branded Spaces Design Team" was a dream come true for all of us. With their expertise as marketing professionals, this was a rare chance to bring our digital brand to life in a physical space.
“Our approach to crafting the interior of this state-of-the-art corporate office was thoughtfully curated to mirror the company's core principles of efficiency, innovation, and customer-centricity, while concurrently fostering an inviting and dynamic work environment,” says Fraza.
Leveraging her diverse design background, which encompasses visual, graphic, and interior disciplines, Fraza's creative concept is evident throughout the space:
- A clean and minimalistic aesthetic that represents organization, professionalism, and contemporary sophistication
- An open layout with versatile workspaces that encourages collaboration and adaptability, especially useful in a fast-paced office environment
- Vibrant pops of color that infuse energy and character, mirroring CRI's brand identity and creating captivating focal points
- Ergonomic furniture, inviting break areas, and ambient lighting that improve the work environment and support employee well-being, essential in the kinetic relocation industry
The Studio Five 02 team is incredibly pleased with how the design succeeds at integrating functionality, aesthetics, and well-being, all of which resonate with CRI's values and mission.
“We are deeply invested in every project we undertake,” says Rodriguez. “It has been a privilege to work with a group as remarkable as CRI and we consider ourselves fortunate to have them as our partners. Our sincere wish is for them to enjoy and make the most of this space for many years ahead.”
Strides in Storage Capabilities
Beyond the design aspects of our new office, we are incredibly fortunate to have considerably more room for the household goods moving division of our business. Our expansive new warehouse spans 21,200 square feet – 35% larger than our previous space – and features eight truck bays, allowing us to streamline our household goods moving operations in a significant way.
"Our new warehouse is a game-changer for us. It will allow us to deliver even higher levels of service to our clients and give us greater impact in the industry with our enhanced capabilities,” says John Wildey, VP Operations.
Modern Amenities for Modern Professionals
Recognizing the unique preferences and work styles of our team members, the office includes a variety of amenities to meet these needs. For those who require privacy for Zoom/Teams calls or focused work, several dedicated rooms are available. When an employee craves a change of environment due to a busy schedule, there are quiet rooms for relaxation and reflection.
“This project in not just about creating a visually appealing workspace; it's about fostering an environment where employees are comfortable,” says Carlos Huereca, CHRO. “By investing in our team's well-being, we’re not only enhancing their job satisfaction, we’re also boosting productivity, creativity, and overall performance. It's a win-win for both CRI and our employees.”
More room to grow
Our new headquarters is more than just an office; it's a space where innovation thrives and partnerships flourish. Beyond the well-appointed amenities and vibrant design, our new workspace will most importantly elevate the level of service we offer to our clients while further strengthening the bond among our invaluable team members.
"Our change in location signifies a change in perspective and solidifies our dedication to our employees, clients, and partners,” says Anthony Horton, CEO. “As we settle into our new space, we feel even more prepared for growth and ready to take on the ever-evolving challenges of the relocation industry with even more energy and passion."
