Each quarter, we recognize team members who embody CRI’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and service. We’re proud to honor Jeremy Handley, Talent Acquisition Manager, with the President’s Award for his leadership, people-first mindset, and remarkable contributions to both CRI and WellRive.
Jeremy joined the organization just under two years ago (2023), bringing with him not only a wealth of experience in senior living and talent acquisition, but also a deep understanding of the human side of relocation. What began as a part-time role focused on recruiting for a single region quickly expanded into a nationwide leadership position supporting both the CRI and WellRive teams.
Today, Jeremy plays a central role in shaping our talent strategy—helping us grow stronger by attracting the right people, building trust across departments, and creating an environment where communication, honesty, and collaboration thrive.
When he’s not connecting with candidates or guiding hiring managers, Jeremy is likely cheering for the Chicago Blackhawks or planning his next European getaway with his wife.
What makes up a good team?
A good team starts with culture. For me, that means high communication, mutual respect, and making sure people feel safe coming to you with questions or concerns. If people are comfortable being honest, the work improves. I’ve seen this play out in every organization I’ve been part of—when people feel supported, they show up and do their best work.
What are three critical traits a client should look for in a relocation partner?
I think it comes down to three big things:
Communication – Not just frequent, but thoughtful and transparent communication.
Honesty – Clients deserve upfront expectations and straight answers.
Attention to Detail – The relocation space is full of moving parts, and the little things matter. Those three traits don’t just apply to relocation companies—they’re essential for any great partnership.
Best Advice:
One of the best pieces of advice I ever received—and now often share—is to be a chameleon. Adapt how you communicate based on your audience and the situation. Not everyone wants formality, and not every setting calls for the same tone. The ability to read the room, stay authentic, and flex your style has helped me build better relationships and succeed in leadership.
Worst Advice:
Any advice that discourages flexibility. People who say, “This is the only way to do it,” usually aren’t seeing the full picture. There’s more than one way to solve a problem—and being open to that is key to growth.
If you could relocate anywhere, where would it be?
Brussels, Belgium. My wife and I have been a few times and just keep going back. The food, the art, the diversity—it’s an incredible city. Plus, it’s a great hub. You can hop on a train and be in another country in two hours. We also love Greece, especially the island of Naxos. I wouldn’t say no to Canada either—I’m a longtime hockey guy, so that might be the natural next step.
What’s something you’re excited about?
Growth. It’s happening all around me—within CRI, within WellRive, and in my own role. I started part-time, focused on one area, and now I’m supporting hiring across the country, working alongside leadership, and contributing to long-term strategy. Seeing how far we’ve come—and imagining where we’re going next—is what keeps me energized.
